One record at a time

Umana accesses an extensive shared database, adding or updating one record at a time – with a few exceptions, like mass changes and wizards.

• Contrast this with MS-Word and Excel, which save your entire document or worksheet in full.
• Umana is more like Facebook with multiple people working on the same account.

Before modifying

In order to avoid modifying an old version of data, when you click Modify Umana retrieves the most recent version before opening the record to modification.

• If you modify fields in a record, only the fields that have been modified will be saved.

• If (and only in rare cases) another user modifies other fields in the same record as you at the same time, this user's modifications will appear when you save your changes.

• If you and another user modify the same field, the value entered by the last user to save will be the one entered.
