CARRA (Quebec)

CARRA is a Quebec government pension plan. Participants to this plan must produce an annual declaration of revenue and absences. The declaration is transmitted to the government via an XML file.

Umana provides you with the necessary reports to produce the annual declaration as well as calculate the annual pension adjustments (PA) factors that are then imported into the T4 box 52.
Umana also produces the XML file for transmission.

To access the CARRA annual declaration report in Umana
Print > Net Pay > CARRA annual decl

To access and calculate the annual pension adjustment factors for box 52 on the T4
Tools > Export > CARRA annual decl
This will produce an EXCEL spreadsheet that calculates the annual pension adjustment factors and gives you the option to import them directly to box 52 on the T4 as a T4 adjustment.
These can be viewed in the employee's Payinfo, Misc screen.
Any exceptions can be corrected by T4 adjustment.
