Dependents

Input window

To access the Dependents window, select Data > Benefits, deductions > Dependents ... from the menu bar or click the button on the Benefits side-menu.

When enrolling a new dependent, all the fields marked with an are mandatory and must be filled out.

Linking to Benefits

Benefits may offer coverage to a spouse or child. Other benefits may specify a spouse or dependent as beneficiary.

To configure Umana to link benefits to dependents

• Options > Benefits > Link Dependents to enrolled benefits

When dependents are linked to benefits

• The Insured or beneficiary... option on the above window lets you specify the benefits the dependent is covered on or beneficiary of.
• The Beneficiary or Insured.. option on the Benfits window lets you choose from the dependents

When dependents are NOT linked to benefits

• The Insured or beneficiary... is a yes-no checkbox.
• The Beneficiary or Insured.. option on the Benfits window lets you enter names in free-form.
