TBL: DAYTYPE - Shift

DAYTYPE table

CONTAINS: Day types or shifts. A code which represents the schedule for the day. The day type is used to build standard schedules.

LENGTH: Up to 6 characters.

RESERVED: The "--" code is reserved. It means "day off", such as a week-end for most office workers. It is neither p

NOTE: To determine the day type schedule for a particular day for a particular schedule or employee, use the WKCAL function.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFO

NOTE: All times are entered in "military" tme using a 24-hour clock, from 00:00 to 23:59.

TBLC1 - WORK DAY,

Start and end times, in format HH:MM-HH:MM For example: 08:00-17:00 For flex-time, enter the required times when employee must be there.

TBLC2 - MEAL BREAK

Start and end times, in format HH:MM-HH:MM For example: 12:00-13:00

TBLC3 - NUMBER of hours PAID

TBLC4 - PREMIUM. A shift premium code from the PRIME table.

TBLC5 - COLOR

Color for displaying on schedules, in format RGB(xxx,xxx,xxx) For example: RGB(255,212,212). Click the [...] button to pick color

TBLC6 - USE DATE AFTER MIDNIGHT

This option only applies to shifts which cross midnight -- i.e. they start one day and end the next.

Possible values:

  • TRUE = This shift is mostly after midnight. Transactions will be dated with the date AFTER midnight (when the shift ends) The date used may affect the calculation of total hours worked in a day and therefore the calculation of overtime. For exmple, you may want a shart that starts at 23:00 and finishes at 07:00 to be dated with the after-midnight date; so mark this as TRUE

  • FALSE = This shift is mostly before midnight. Transactions will be dated with the date the shift starts.

TBLC7 - FLEX-TIME LIMITS

For a flex-time schedule, enter the earliest time that the employee can start (and be paid for it), followed the the lattest time when an employee can finish (and be paid for it.) For example: If the employee if an employee can start as early as 7:00 amd an finish as lates at 6:00 pm enter 07:00-18:00
