TBL: PSTAT - Personal status
PSTAT table -- "Personal status" codes to assign to employees.
DEFINITION:
A status code used to categorize employees. Typical examples are: TEMPorary, PERManent, MGMT, EXEMPT, etc.
H/R USAGE
A single PSTAT value from this table is assigned to each employee and stored in his employment history record (JOBHIST table).
Most reports allow you to select employees by their PSTAT.
ADDITIONAL INFO
TBLC1. (TBLC1) The equivalent code used to send to the provincial health board in case of an accident. In Quebec this is used to generate the ADR document to send to the CSST
TBLC2. (TBLC2) The equivalent code for employment equity reporting.
TBLC3. (TBLC3) A rank -- a number which allows you to specify a primary ranking for employees of this status when building schedules. The lower the number, the better the rank.
After the number you can put the letter "A" to indicate that employees within this category then be ranked by seniority. (Seniority ranking is done after PSTAT ranking, only for PSTATs with an "A" in TBLC3.)
For example, the table below causes PERManent employees to be assigned first, in order of seniority. Then TEMPorary employees are assigned, withOUT regard to seniority. PERM 1A TEMP 2 OCCAS 3
