Prepay tool

The Umana pre-pay tool lets you perform various processes, after acquiring the gross pay hours, and before calculating the net pay. See payroll process.

The prepay tool is available from several places:

• Pay Calendar Window > Tools button (on toolbar) > Prepay
• Top-menu > Tools > Maintenance > Attendance, Payroll > Pre-pay processing
• Attendance Detail window > Tools > Prepay for just one person

This tool is a report that can update the data base. There are a number of processes available. More precisely, it a wrapper (manager) for a number of different pre-pay processes.

• You configure which ones your company might need
• From those, you select which one you want to run each time.
• It suggests actions to take for individual employees, and you choose which ones you want to do.

It also prints a report of suggested actions (by employee), and which ones it performed. So one strategy would be to

• Run it initially and just print the report (taking no actions).
• Review the results and decide case-by-case.
• Run it again, taking the actions based on that review.
