Concepts

This module defines your company's departments. They are typically hierarchical: Company > Service > Department > Sub-department (etc.)

• How many levels you have is up to you.
• You can configure the term for this entire hierarchy. The same term is used at all levels, which by default is Department. Internally in Umana it is called ENTITY1.

ENTITY1 and ENTITY2 fields.

• "ENTITY1" is the generic term used for the main organizational structure. This field's label is configurable; see the "Global" configuration options. Often Department or Dept. is used for ENTITY1.
• A second field, "ENTITY2," is also available for a second organizational structure independent of the main structure. In this document, Product is often used for ENTITY2.

The data comes from the ENTITY file.
